A Night with The Stars | QS Prom 2015

Last Saturday, I attended my last prom of my entire life. I took my last final paper last Wednesday and am officially ended my uni life. Okay, not until I pass all the subjects.

Months before the big day, I've been looking for a prom dress. I am unsure of the style I wanted so I've been looking for an inspiration from Pinterest and also fashion bloggers. Fortunately, I found one I like.

Beauty Review: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths

I have combination of oily and dry skin, so shine just 5 hours after my morning skin care routine is nothing new. This is a recurring problem as I had it last year when I was an intern and its happening now when I go to class.  It makes me feel dirty and uncomfortable and Ive been looking all over for a product that can help me get rid of it without having to carry my cleanser around.

Ive used several cleaning cloths so far, but wasn’t really able to find one I really liked. So I was quite happy when I was provided with Cetaphil’s latest product, Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths.

The Cetaphil Cloths come in a packet of 25, each cloth measuring 12cm x 20cm. I usually tear the cloth into half, using both sides to cover my entire face. Yes, Im a  cheapskate like that.

What I like about the packaging is that it comes with a solid lid and an adhesive lid. So say good bye to worrying about the adhesive lid losing its stickiness and making your cloths dry.

Its tiny size makes it very travel-friendly and convenient for use in vacations, sports, college, work and even at home. Simply put, its perfect for when you are on-the-go!

The Cloth is very soft and gentle, and left my skin feeling fresh and clean. Why do I call it gentle you ask? Because it contains a mild, soap-free formula which didnt strip my skin of its natural protective oils that’s why. One other thing that I really liked was that it left my skin really moisturised.

Like with any other cleansing cloth, you don’t need to rinse your face after using Cetaphil’s Cloths. I also noticed that there is no slippery feeling when I shower after using the Cloths, an issue I had with some of the previous wipes.

So to sum up, I really do like this product because its (1) mild on my skin (2) perfect for when you’re on the go and (3) it removes my midday shine!

Weekend Getaway to Langkawi Island (Vlog)

Note: If you're too lazy to read, Vlog is attached at the end to the post! 

After a tedious 6 months internship back home, the Boyfriend and I decided to take a short getaway to Langkawi Island. It was a 3 days 2 nights trip.

We booked our flight in the late 2014 and didn't know that the weekend we went was during Malaysia school holiday and also the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2015. LIMA is one of the largest maritime and aerospace exhibition in the Asia-Pacific, so you could imagine the crowd. 

We were told that we could get any car rental stall at the airport upon our arrival, but there were no car for us because of the big event. The taxi counter are forced to close because the taxi demand are too high and there were no taxi left. After a long wait, we decided to walk to the road where the entrance to the airport is, and grab a taxi before the reach the taxi station inside the airport. Lucky us, I was so worried that I would stuck at the airport for the rest of the trip. 

Checked-in to our hotel in Kuah, and managed to call an agent to rent a car. If you search from the internet, you may get car rental as low as RM50 a day, but due to the big event, we rented a Kia Picanto for RM120 a day.

The make-up mode in TR35 is the function I used the most, now that I have revealed that most of my pictures were taken by this camera, hence my skin look more vibrant and smooth. Soft like baby skin.

Last week, I have been caught up with a Korean TV show on KBS, K-Style - Me, Myself, Mirene, on Astro.  I just happened to switch on the tv on one fine Friday night to pass time and then the next thing I know, I have already fallen deeply in love with this tv show.

Here's three reason why I love it.

La Vie, City Mall: Valentine's Inspired Gel Nail

I was having dilemma on getting a CNY themed or Valentine's themed nail. I didn't like the colour red on my nail cause it makes my hand looks dull so I chose something soft and pastel this CNY. I was searching thru pinterest, weheartit and instagram for nail art ideas. I came across an instagram account, @catsnail, a korean nail arts account.

I love their design, very unique and very ulzzang.  After scrolling the pictures for hours, I finally found something that I like. Snapshot it and asked my manicurist to do it for me. This time I chose La Vie in City Mall to do my gel polish on my nails. The manicurist did a great job on my nails and I am totally enjoying myself during the process. 

Their service is way better than 1930's Professional because they really took care of your hands and delicately clean your nails. Unlike 1930's, they are a bit rough. In La Vie, they really treat you like a VIP, and they smile very often that you won't feel stress there. Thumbs up for a great service. 

The cost of this gelish nail art cost RM100. I am totally satisfied with the amount I paid.

Blogging Milestone #1

I'm so excited and so happy to announce that my blog has a domain! 

I've always wanted to get a domain for myself since I have been blogging since I was fourteen but I told myself that I will only get one after I earn my first cash out from Nuffnang. As I was reading blogs to pass my time, LoveLumi was removed and turn into a domain website. I think she bought her domain there. They were having a promotion to get a domain, and I thought I could afford it so why not get it for a year and see what can I do a year later.

Tho my hormanal acne (that comes before my menstrual, every month!!) so I will have some red dots here and there, but look at my skin texture, it's a lot more smooth and radiant. 

What I do not like about this collagen drink?
It is not travel-friendly. I hope they have sachet size tho, so I can just grab a few sachet in my handbag and just go when I'm on a vacay. I usually take my breakfast outside, so it is a hassle to make a drink when I'm rushing. Not sure if they have the sachet size, but I have not seen one yet.

As I'm counting down to end my internship, at the same time, I'm counting down to CNY as well. 

Chun's and his family are coming to KK during CNY, so excited cause his family is going to visit me for the first time. And I am so not going to let both our parents meet yet. 

Feel so awkward just thinking about it.

I always thought my mom would not like my boyfriend, just so you know, she likes to use Chun more than she likes him as my boyfriend. 

"Ask your boyfriend do this for me" "ask your boyfriend do that for me" and never say thank you in return. Like my boyfriend has to do stuff to please her. 

And always ask me why don't I find a richer boyfriend. *smack head* but my answer will always makes her go speechless and reply me with "that's my daughter"

My answer to her question is 

Why not find a man who knows how to earn money and become rich? Why do I have to find a man that is already rich? If he doesn't know how to earn, he will eventually.. become poor. Haha.

and this CNY, she asked me to use her brand new Honda Accord to bring Chun's family around.

"You know your myvi is small, how can you fit 6 person in there?" 

"Just squeeze a little can ady" 

"Accord bigger, can fit more. And who's going to drive?"

"Me!"

"What? You okay or not?" 

Is she asking Chun's father to drive? Like... you willing to let your brand new car to Chun?
