In today’s post, I’m gonna share my review on B.liv off with those heads. It was really sweet for B.liv Malaysia team to send the product to me all the way to Toronto. Thank you!
WHAT IS IT?
b.liv off with those heads, a blackheads sebum gel, is a capable solution devoted to softening clogged pores for easy and effortless white and blackheads extraction in only 14-days of use!
This sebum gel is formulated with tea tree oil, witch hazel extract and aloe vera extract that work on a dual-action process: deep penetration property effectively keeps oil secretion under control from within while ensuring blackheads-free and hydrated skin complexion.
With its antiseptic, antifungal and anti-bacterial properties, it helps in preventing acne formation while also expedite the recovery process of new acne.
INGREDIENT
Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Menthol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea.
The key ingredients of the sebum gel are:
· Tea Tree Oil – acne control, comedones control and soothing;
· Witch Hazel Extract – minimize large pores along with the soothing effect for the problematic skin;
· Aloe Vera Extract – to soften, soothe and comfort skin to deliver a smooth, supple skin texture.
b.liv off with those heads is sulfate-free; it still contains alcohol and parabens though, making it not organic.
SKIN TYPE SUITABILITY
b.liv off with those heads is suitable for oily, acne-prone skin and skin that is suffering from white and blackheads. It is not recommended for sensitive skin type as tea tree oil and menthol could really irritate skin.
PACKAGING
b.liv off with those heads comes packaged in a pump bottle making it easy to dispense and hygienic. The content of the label is written in English. The bottle is made of plastic, very lightweight and travel-friendly.
APPLICATION
I apply b.liv off with those heads every night after toner targeting the T-zone and occasionally apply to the whole face except eyes area. I only introduce b.liv off with those heads into my bedtime skincare routine because I do not want to over-dry my skin but if you’re having oily skin, use two times a day.
The consistency of the content is very light-weight and watery. The product gives a very strong menthol scent but it is not awful. It gives a cooling sensation and spread easily upon application. The product absorbs completely within seconds; this may be due to the alcohol in it.
PERFORMANCE
I’ll split my verdict into 4 weeks:
Week 1
I saw a lot of whiteheads forming on my nose, chin, and side of my cheeks on the first few days of usage; the skin was unusually oilier during midday. I could not tell the caused between PMS or the product so I reduced my usage into once every other night.
Week 2
The formation of whiteheads did not stop so I had to stop using b.liv off with those heads for 3 nights and let my skin calm down. Whiteheads were easily removed by using exfoliation and I b.liv (believe) formation of whiteheads was caused by the sebum gel. I was told that acne could be formed during the initial period and things will only go favorable way later; just be patient and keep continue using it.
Week 3 & 4
Increased usage to every night and skin got better and better. My clogged pores finally cleared up and definitely see changes now. It is not completely cleared up but I’m positive skin will improve in the long run!
You’ll have to be patience with this product as the initial period of the usage could really turn you down and make you lose hope. Be prepared for the worst cause every skin reacts to it differently. If you overcome that period, like me, all you could see is clearer and clearer skin.
