Kosé Sekkisei Essence Excellent Review

If you're following this space for a certain time, you would know that I've been struggling with clogged pores and occasional blemishes. It's annoying and it somehow affect my self-consciousness. Treating blemishes are really a pain in the ass... cause when you thought you have fully recovered from it, it comes back again.

As I've been using topical blemish spot cream, my skin tends to become very dry, and sometimes with visible flaky skin. I went to Kosé counter last December, hoping to get a non-comedogenic hydrating lotion for an intense hydration for my skin and got myself a bottle of Kosé Sekkisei Essence Excellent.

After using it for 3 months (left only empty bottle), here are my review.

WHAT IS IT?

A whitening essence that makes dark spots less visible to maintain a brighter, fresher and more translucent look. Claims to protect the skin against the roughness and the dryness to make it moisturized and smooth. Suitable for those who are concerned about aging spots, fine lines and dry skin.

Key Ingredient

• Coix Seed Extract - Hydrates skin and prevents roughness

PACKAGING

I really love how Kosé Sekkisei Essence Excellent comes packaged in phthalo-blue & Cal Poly Pomona Gold pump glass bottle, making it look super luxurious. Because the packaging is made out of glass, it is quite heavy making it very not travel-friendly. In spite of that, the transparency of the bottle let you know how much of the product left and now that I have finished using the whole bottle, there are no unreachable product left at the bottom. Money not wasted.

APPLICATION

I used 2 pumps of Kosé Sekkisei Essence Excellent and applied right after toner from the same Sekkisei line—Kosé Sekkisei Lotion. The texture of the essence is watery and it spread smoothly. I like to lightly rub the product between my palm and gently press the product onto my skin. Tapping my skin giving it some bouncy feel and the essence absorb in no time. The essence does not give any unpleasant smell and does not leave the skin feeling tactile making it very comparable with other product. 

PERFORMANCE

On the first two weeks of using Kosé Sekkisei Essence Excellent, I can see a drastic change on my skin. The skin looks fairer, brighter, more plump and the complexion is better. My skin does not look rough, and the size of my pores are smaller. The essence really work as it claimed and I am very satisfied with the outcome.

Now that I have finished using the entire product, I am contemplating on whether to repurchase it or not. The price of the product is a little pricy for a fresh graduate like me. I am still opting for something similar with a cheaper price. Do leave a comment if you have anything in mind, it would be really helpful.
