Joyce's Wedding Reception @ Hakka Association Hall, Tanjung Lipat

After the morning wedding ceremony, Woan and I got home and took our nap. It was the best 3 hours nap ever. The alarm rang and we were forced to wake up from our wonderland, but I still do not wanna get out of the bed.
Woan whatsapp me this while I was still snoozing my alarm
because we had errant to run, we did our makeups dreadfully. haha! but we ended up looking very chio too. Joyce text-ed saying she needs bridesmaids to usher the guest of the night, so we rushed over.

now, let the pictures speak.

uploaded this picha to insta and guess what? it is my first 100 likes on insta. happy me!

Being a Bridesmaid

Joyce and I during the night before her big day
the last time I woke up in the middle of the night for some serious stuff to do was a year ago, this time I got up one hour later, 4am, to doll myself up. The night before, I was in Joyce's in house party and the party pretty much ended quite late. when Woan and I got home and ready for bed, it was already around 1am. Imagine getting up 3 hours later? I couldn't sleep in the whole night, Woan was ninja-sleeping, she kicked me 2-3 times the whole night and told me that she couldn't not sleep the next morning. I was like, yea, me either. =,=

so we got up, quickly dolled ourselves up and rushed up to Joyce's place. took our breakfast and then girls being girls. we took lots of selfies and wefies.

After our breakfast, and making sure all the games were ready, here came the groom.

The groomsmen and the groom
and the games begun!

I was a bit disappointed at the groomsmen because they were so less anticipating, which made everything awkward. but after reading Timothy Tiah's blog about wedding, I take it back. I agree that the groomsmen wanted to look good on that day too, especially the camera crew was snapping every picture of the moments. I'll let them go.

After the games, the vows, and the tea-drinking session, we all headed to the church. missed the part where Joyce's dad walked her down the aisle because I was left behind where the traffic light decided to switched to red light before me. oh well..

still got time to snap some picha of me in the car.

I don't know, looking down is the new trend
after all the wedding ceremony, exchanging rings and photography session, all of us got back home.

and here's the pictures of the day

Outstation plus Short Gateway to KUL

as if you don't know, I've been doing my internship for 8 weeks now... and I have 5 months to go. :(

Up until now, I could say my internship journey was pretty much fun at times and boring at times. To compare with my coursemates who works in another company, they have a lot of measuring to do, which is pretty annoying if you do it everyday. so thank God that I am blessed to do a lot of contract related works, preparation of documents, and more but measuements. and if I do measurements, I do one whole building starting from foundation to the roof. unlike my coursemate who did just beams and columns for a month! How boring.

fortunately, and I did say I am blessed. my principal sent me and my supervisor to KL for work last week. and yessss, I got to see my boyfriend. how lucky am I?

Before I flew to KL on last Tuesday, I went to the MAS office and extend my flight ticket from last Friday (actual return day) to last Sunday. Cheated on boyfriend saying that I need him to bring me to MAS office in KLIA to extend my ticket. I'll talk about this on another post.

Works was okay, but I was excited to meet my boyfriend all the time.

---

On last Friday, during my 3 hours lunch break, I went to cut and pamper my hair in A Saloon, Alamanda. hahaha, not sure if I went to KL to work or pampering myself. I am pleased and satisfied with the hair service in A Saloon.

The hair stylist, Kar Joon recommend me to do FUENTE Scalp & Hair Treatment because my scalp was oily and my hair was covered with dandruff plus all the chemical treatment I did to my hair in the past: wave, colour, bleached, daily heat...

After the treatment, magically, I can feel that my hair is a lot bouncier, less hair loss when I comb or wash my hair. The most happy thing is, my hair is less oily! This hair treatment is magical! and I did not know how important scalp treatment is.

The hair stylist recommend all his customer to do this treatment every 3 months, but I guess i can only do one a year because of my budget. hahaha!

till next time.

Joyce is married!

Joyce and I got home pretty late after the bachelorette party. It was 4am when both of us finally got onto my bed, and we gotta wake up at 8am to church for Harry and Joyce's official wedding day.

It was so hard to get out of bed. surprisingly, Joyce and I got ready within 1 hour and off we go to church.

Took some picture with Joyce's TR35 white otw to church

see how nice my skin is..

Joyce the sleeping bride.

Drop Joyce off at the church and I had to pick up my relatives that came from Sandakan.

A few hours later, received an image from Joyce.

and yes, my BFF since primary school has happily married to her prince charming!

Joyce Bachelorette Party

Joyce's Bachelorette Party happened last Saturday night.

To make her stand out among us, we all planned to wear black that night.
We are all socially awkward at the beginning of the party because most of use don't know each others personally.
but thanks to alcohol, everyone started to bond together and it seems like we all had known each other for a decade.

I was happy that night, thank God I'm not drunk.

My Morning Korean Skincare Routine

After nearly 2 years suffering from acne/congested pores, my skin has gradually getting better since I’ve changed to Korean skincare products and changed my simple cleanse-tone-moisturize to skincare layering.
I used to only use the basic skincare regime while I was suffering from congested pores. Since my skin is doing no good, I got Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion and Laneige Sensitive Power Essential Skin Refiner as toner. The 3 products I’ve been using are very mild, gentle, most suitable for skin like me. To be honest, they works amazing. My skin got better and better.

Till one day I went to Sephora in Sunway Pyramid with my mom to look for liquid foundation, I gain more knowledge on skincare. I was complaining to the beauty advisor that how the foundation doesn’t stick to my skin and how flaky my dry skin is. Coincidentally, she was suffering the same thing like me, and she was fully recovered!

She told me over the years, she had tried plenty of method and regime to cure her face, so I took her advice on how to take care of my skin. From makeup to skincare to cleansing method. Although I did not buy everything from her, cause she understand that I’m still a student and suggest me to start from drugstore skincare.

Now, let me start my morning Korean skincare routine for acne/congested pore/sensitive skin, shall we?

(1)   Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser  (Sensitive skin)
It is a very gentle, soap-free cleanser that has the formulation of fragrance-free and colouring-free with pH6.5 which is mild enough for my skin. It is also non-comedogenic which does not clog pores and leaving me supple, soft skin. (MYR42.30/473ml)

(2)   Etude House Wonder Pore Freshener (Pores concern)
Act as a toner which further deep cleanse my pores and also help maintain 4.5±1 pH level which control sebum production during the day. It minimizes appearance of pores and keep the elasticity of pores. Other than that, it helps refine the skin tone and moisturize inside and outside of the skin. (MYR99.90/500ml)

(3)   Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Serum (Dark eye circle)
It is a concentrated water-based serum rich in omega-3 fatty acid, haloxyl, arbutin and vitamins to improve blood circulation and whiten skin for excellent radiant eyes. (MYR95.00/30ml)

(4)   Skinfood Watery Berry Serum (Dry skin)
A dewy hydrate serum with vegetable oil complex capsules [grape seed oil, sunflower seed oil & camellia oil] that deeply moisturize and hydrate skin by promoting soft, glowing skin. (MYR88.80/70ml)

(5)   Skinfood Watery Berry Eye Cream (Fine lines)
A wrinkle-smoothing, gel-type eye cream that keeps delicate skin around the eyes soft and glowing with various berry extracts hyaluronic acids and adenosine. (MYR88.80/30g)

(6)   Etude House Moistfull Flower Cream (Dull)
Moistfull Flower Cream supplies hydration and retention layer to promote a naturally smooth, radiant complexion. (MYR109.90/50ml)

(7)   Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Jelly Water Based Whitening SPF30 PA+++
It is enhanced with Water-retaining System to lock in moisture while hydrating skin at the same time with its cool watery texture. The jelly is non-sticky and non-greasy while it spreads easily on skin, leaving it soft and light so skin feels refreshed and relaxed. (MYR32.90/90ml)

okay, so here's my tips. Find cleanser that is mild and toner that focus on pores, and others like serum, cream, eye cream, etc ... based on your skin type or what you concern.
